In my opinion, Fox News doesn't have any affiliation with the Republican party. They have some conservative commentators (Beck and Hannity primarily), other than that - it is business as usual - do whatever it takes to attract more viewers...

As far as web or printed publications, it is also important to have equal amounts - now I have tabs open for Drudge, WSJ, BBC, and Huff Post.

And indeed, the statement at the top is far from being accurate. While Fox News indeed spent more time on talking about them (as they kept advertising them as "spontaneous"), NPR/CNN/BBC covered them in detail.

Алексей, tea parties were the response to the stimulus, not actual tax raises. The idea is that stimulus was full of pork, pet projects and paybacks to Obama supporters, like $2 million given to ACORN. The protesters consider it to be waste of taxpayer's money. You may or may not agree with these people, but they definitely have merit in their actions.
