Oleg, the link i added is funny but informative, but really the real answer to your question is that the reason we, people who buy modest homes and pay our mortgage and taxes on time, etc have to pay for other people's stupidity and lack of fiscal responsibility is that we do not live in a country with a Free Market . It's the same reason why we, taxpayers have to subsidize people who want to get away from it all and live on a farm, but can't make it into a profitable business
