I so agree. Our industry doesn't have unions but as a manager I jump through so many hoops trying on both sides:
1. To retain good workers
2. To get rid of those that don't cut it, especially if they are in the protected category.
However, looking into certain industries that do have unions (for example: automobile and airline) we do see huge inefficiencies there requiring those employers to file for bankruptcy from time to time in order to rid themselves of union obligations.
