So that we are clear on this point. I am against any type of welfare, be it corporate welfare or any other kind. To the extend that one company has an anfair competative advantage over another company - this is wrong. The best way to do that is not regulate those companies more, but to apply/enforce equal regulations evenly and fairly - this is actually is not the same thing.
Liberals have a tendency to treat every case of corporate melfeasance as a way to come up with more restrictive regulations. Enron is a case in point.
