Migration Review Tribunal and Refugee Tribunal fees will increase to $1540.00 on 1 July 2011 and in respect of the Migration Review Tribunal only 50% of the fee will be refunded to successful applicants. Migration Review Tribunal applicants who establish financial hardship will pay a fee of $770.00-at present they are entitled to a full fee waiver.
For Refugee Review Tribunal applicants no fee will be payable if the applicant succeeds and the fee will continue to be a post decision fee payable only by applicants who lose their appeals.
