Chanukah is such a beautiful holiday with rich spiritual significance.
What is the deeper meaning behind the story of the Jews searching the Holy Temple and finding a small jug of oil
that was untouched by defiled hands
and still had the seal of the High Priest?
Harav Kook writes that inside every Jew is a small jug of oil that sealed and pure, untouched by the outside world.
On Chanukah we have the opportunity to reach inside ourselves and find that special jug and ignite it.
It too can burn for 8 days just like the miracle of
Chanukah.
