i think the consensus among most liberals is that Obama is good because he's not Bush :)

As "Obama" said in SNL's skit about his winning the Nobel Peace Prize "I won it for not being George W Bush. Which is surprising because I only have not been George W Bush for 9 month" :-D

most recentely i asked Line if she was pleased with Obama's actions and she replied that he was on the right track...SO it seems that he hasn't arrived anywhere, still in transit towards our brighter future

so, i asked one of my local democrats and his things of what Obama has done
1) ordered to stop torture
2) passed stimulus
3) changed US image in the world

I got one more: he turned attention from an unnecessary war (Iraq) to a justifiable one (Afghanistan).

Alexey, yeah.. there so far he's just following Bushes blueprint... i mean he has not changed direction at all..
