The rating numbers listed below are misleading. They are comparing "apples and oranges". More meaningful numbers are the ones rating president's performance after the 1st year in office. Using that measurement, Obama's numbers are some of the lowest in recent memory.

The article below is not about Obama ratings. It's about the major biases in the media exposed during 2009.

Natan, Obamas's ratings in May were higher than those of both Bushes... Reagan had the same approval ratings as Obama, at the end of his first year. Baby Bush on the other hand,was at 90% after 9/11 - but he wound up almostdestroying this country. Tough decisions are never popular, that's because most people aren't smart enough torealize what's good for them. It's like children hating their parents for giving them medicine or making them do their homework.
