what happens when any revenue goes down?
if it's a normal company.. you cut spendings, or you issue equity or debt to finance operations...
if you are government you can do exactly the same thing.. how does it metter where revenue comes from>

this was a strawman argument if i ever saw one.. will not even dignify with a response.

i am not sure how 9% sales tax would be counted in the SS contribution.. my guess is it would not.

if we can't finance SS with a 15% contribution, how are we supposed to do it with 9%?

because SS is capped at 103k (or whatever it i this year). 9% tax will be uncapped.
