это не так. если речь идет о проживании зарубежом на пенсии то многие уезжают в те страны откуда родом. Итальянцы и греки едут на пенсии в Италию и Грецию, а их в Австралии около 2,5 миллионов. если "коренные" то в большинстве случаев едут не в Таиланд а в Малайзию. Что бы селать анализ этого нужно владеть данными из " Population movement data".

В таиланд они не иммигрируют а получают специальную временную визу "Retirement visa" для проживания в стране. У нас тоже есть такая виза на 4 года с правом продления еще на 4 года и так далее каждый раз на 4 года, но нужно иметь доход в $60 000 годовых что бы дали такую визу в Австралию. Она никогда не переходит в постоянную визу.

На самом деле австралийские пенсионеры редко переезжают в другие страны доживать свой век на пенсии, предпочитают быть в Австралии рядом со своими детьми и внуками, к пенсии большинство обзаводится домиком в интересном для них месте, кто в горах, но большинство на побережье, где нибудь в небольшом городке. Мы вот тоже строим домик на Lake Macquarie, пока будем его сдавать а если Бог даст дожить до пенсии - туда и переедем. Ну и масса людей предпочитает на пансии перебираться в Retirement village, это удобно и не очень дорого. В Сиднее есть 2 русских *Retirement village одно в Kentlyn, другое в Cabramatta.

Mr Gharib was sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment to be served in the community, as well as ordered to pay a bond of $5000, while Mrs Gharib was fined $7500.
“Passport fraud is a serious offence,” a departmental spokesman said.
“These recent convictions should serve as a reminder to the community that DIAC and the courts will act swiftly against those who attempt to assist the illegal entry of non-citizens into Australia.”
Mr and Mrs Gharib were charged in 2010 with providing their travel documents to Iraqi nationals, allowing them to enter Australia when not entitled to do so.
During sentencing, the magistrate commented on the high standard of work undertaken by Immigration’s investigators compiling and presenting the evidence that ultimately led to the convictions.

A compliance operation in the Canberra suburb of Barton today resulted in the location of 30 illegal workers in the construction industry.
The workers were detained at a construction site in an operation involving the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), with assistance from the Australian Federal Police.
Officers found 30 unlawful non-citizens, including one South Korean, one person from Hong Kong and 28 Chinese nationals, all of whom were working illegal on the construction site.
The group has now been detained and will be transferred to Villawood Immigration Detention Centre, pending their removal from Australia at the earliest opportunity.
Investigations into the circumstances of their employment are continuing.
A departmental spokesman said the operation served as a warning to individuals and employers that illegal work and breaches of immigration law will not be tolerated.
“The department is committed to ensuring the integrity of its migration and visa programs,” the spokesman said.
“The operation demonstrates that if people work illegally or employ illegal workers, they will be caught.
“It is the responsibility of employers to check with the department that all people they hire have the legal right to work in Australia.”
Employers can face severe penalties for hiring people who do not have work rights in Australia. Employers convicted under Commonwealth legislation face fines of up to $13 200 and two years’ imprisonment while companies face fines of up to $66 000 per illegal worker.
People with information about illegal workers or visa over-stayers are encouraged to call the Immigration Dob-In Line on 1800 009 623.
Employers can gain access to the Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) service which allows employers to provide relevant identification details of prospective employees with their consent to quickly confirm that they are eligible to work in Australia.

ТАк что лицезрела всю политическую и прочую элиту, с некоторыми знакома на уровне Hello, how are you? Выходишь из подьезда - сталкиваешься с Говардом или Костелло или еще кем-нибудь. Когда это происходит регулярно на протяжении нескольких лет - начинаешь общаться, как со старым знакомым.

Было бы неплохо, если бы провинившиеся эмигранты оплачивали содержание нелегалов за счет своих штрафов. Хоть какая-то часть денег налогоплательщиков пошла бы на медицину, овразование, детей.

Ого!! $66 000 за человека- это уже серьёзно! Но всё равно будут нелегалов брать на работу, так как жадные хозяева платят им копейки.

Friday diners at a Melbourne restaurant could face slim pickings following an Immigration compliance operation overnight which took away 12 of its 14 staff.
Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) compliance officers, with Victoria Police, located 12 illegal workers at a busy Glen Waverley restaurant.
A departmental spokesman said it was believed to be the largest number of illegal workers yet located during a single-restaurant compliance operation by DIAC in Victoria.
“Of the eight men and four women detained, 11 were Malaysian nationals and one a Chinese national,” the spokesman said.
“About 70 patrons were there when DIAC officers and Glen Waverley police officers attended last night.
“Those detained included cooks, kitchen hands, waiters and waitresses.
“Eleven had overstayed their visas, while another was working in breach of his visa conditions, and had his visa cancelled.”
All were transferred to the Maribyrnong Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) while arrangements were made to remove them from Australia as soon as possible.
“The restaurant owner will get a first-warning from DIAC about penalties for employing illegal workers and be advised how to verify whether prospective staff can legally work in Australia,” the spokesman said.
The department receives information from various sources, include tip-offs, about people working without visas, or working in breach of visa conditions.

A car industry union has called on the federal government to investigate the treatment of workers on 457 visas at an Adelaide workplace, alleging one was sacked after joining the union.
The Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) has also called on the government to waive the 28-day deportation rule while Fijian Mohammed Khan fights his sacking in the Federal Court.
Union members and officials rallied outside Mr Khan's former workplace, Adelaide Isuzu, on Thursday in support of their colleague, who they said had been denied his basic human rights.
Advertisement: Story continues below AMWU national president Paul Bastian said under the 457 visa system workers were bonded to employers and if they left or were sacked they only had 28 days to find new work before facing deportation.
"So that's the sort of control and economic power bosses wield under this system," he said.
"I think that's wrong and that allows for the abuse and exploitation that we see here."
Mr Bastian said the government must investigate Adelaide Isuzu's compliance with the 457 visa regime and if breaches were substantiated it should be prevented from participating in the scheme.
He described Mr Khan as courageous for taking a stand.
"At the end of the day Mohammed Kahn is not a chattel and is not a commodity," he said.
"He's a human being, he's a fellow worker, and with that comes rights, fundamental human rights."
A sometimes tearful Mr Khan, a qualified diesel mechanic, said he was thankful for the support of the union.
"I have been a good worker, an honest and diligent worker for this company," he said.
"I cannot understand why someone can be dismissed just for joining the union.
"Australia is a country that supports the workers and it's very unfair for someone to be dismissed if they join a union."

А вот еще интересный случай. Мужик из Британии прожил 41 год в Австралии - теперь его депортируют.

Clifford Tucker, 47, moved to Australia with his parents from the UK when he was six years old, but never applied for citizenship.
Mr Tucker has convictions for a number of crimes, including attempted murder, and was in prison when each of his three children was born.
Minister for Immigration and Citizenship Chris Bowen has defended the decision to deport Mr Tucker, saying he has numerous criminal convictions and fails the character test set out in the Migration Act.
But Mr Tucker's lawyer Stephen Kenny says the deportation violates human rights, and Australia's migration laws are in breach of international law.
"I invite the Prime Minister to say 'These are not Labor Party principles. We need to change this law'," he said.
Mr Tucker is being held at Sydney's Villawood Detention Centre and will be flown to the UK today.
But Mr Kenny says his client is being put at serious risk.
He says Mr Tucker is mentally fragile and has barely anyone to support him in Britain.
"As far as we know, he's going to be left to his own devices," he said.
An appeal against Mr Tucker's deportation was dismissed by the Federal Court in February.
But Mr Kenny says this decision was wrong.
"He's not a threat to society, he hasn't been involved in any serious violence for at least 10 years," he said.
Mr Kenny says Mr Tucker is unlikely to be allowed to return to Australia.

Ну наших в раионных советах City Council (здесь же страна Советов) в различных городах немало есть. В большой политике в нашем штате был еще Павел Науменко (Paul Newman) из Украины, его убили ребята из вьетнамской нарко мафии на выходе из кино. Он сильно на них наезжал.
