All the conservative jews here ( on Ondnoklassniki) is the anomaly to the American society, which is actually an anomaly if you consider the principles of conservatism.

Well, I already typed this, by the time Olga posted, so as my last communique concerning the topic:
a) I was talking about immigrants from former FSU, calling this entire group "Jews", just like Ira is doing, is kind of strange. Especially given diversity of this particular group where we are now, starting with Ms. Savchenko herself and ending with Murat, for example.
b) I have never mentioned any dislike for social programs. But who needs to read my posts, when you can "read between the lines"?
c) I stated that working, tax-paying, younger generations of those elderly have returned the money spent on their parents back to USA, in forms of various contributions: taxes, jobs created, personal wealth acquired. Very simple formula, ты мне, я тебе.

d) African Americans' case, when people who are 12 generations removed are feeling entitled for retributions for the pain and suffering of their distant predecessors is so far from my case that I don't even want to honor it with explanation. Just think, simple case, "you gave me $, I gave you $ back", and pseudo-historical mumbo-jumbo of "historical debt" which could be echoed by Russians vs Mongols, Jews vs Egyptians, Gypsies vs The World, etc...

Sometimes I think that famous Гаврила is much closer to Сахно family then just an employee.

Unless you've read it, you can not judge Sarah Palin. You don't know much about her.
The left-leaning media made a caricature out of her because it sensed danger to the satus quo form Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin is a true conservative and a fearless crusader against corruption in politics -regardless of party. She does not care what party is being corrupted.
She is a free spirit, uncorruptable, unstoppable. So unique!

I am here with Ira D. - it would so much more interesting to read about a crack addicted "Barry" and his struggles with racism than reading about a normal woman that came from a two-parent household, not even addicted to anything, raising five kids while making a difference in public life...totally agree - mediocre and boring..|-)

If you read the book, you would learn that Sarah Palin's father was a science teacher, who was very devoted to teaching his subject to his own kids. They talked everyday around the kitchen table about geography, biology, chemistry whatever else makes you an educated person. The books were in high regard in their family ( and TV -not!)
I bet she is a lot sharper than you:-D
If she were really uneducated and stupid, the leftist would not go after her. They only destroy people who are really dangerous for their dear causes ( corruption, power, control of the masses):-P

So, as i was hanging at LGA waiting for my flight i picked up Palins book to read a bit.
I read maybe first 30 pages.. not a very exciting reading, basically seems like she's going thru the same stuff that she re-hashed on every TV appearance.
In any case, i don't think she will have much success in US politics. She was an interesting gamble for McCain.. oh well

1) i doubt she wrote the book for the money, she can make plenty of money at 75-100k/appearance, and from what i understand she is overbooked
2) she will probably get elected for senate, where she would be "not dead" to politics.
3) i don't think she will be elected as a president ever.. well unless she makes some major changes
4) did anyone really say Palin wrote the book herself without a ghostwriter:??

I think people don't like Palin because they think she's fake and lacking substance. That perception probably originated from a number of bad interviews she gave.
