seasonal flu vaccine is reformulated every year and it is not a replication of last year's vaccine. H1N1 is right now a predominant circulating virus in the US, 99% of all cases. So far it seems milder then seasonal flu, but follows different patterns,you can look it all up on the CDC site, they have weekly maps with updates. So far in the US there were 128 children's death from it, most of those were kids with some underlying disease, CP, etc...
The vaccine is the same as seasonal flu vaccine as far as technology, so it's safety is the same .
