Here you can have a decent man who will date a few people at the sametime to find who he likes better, but the same man there would never dothat to a woman if he respects you.
But how can he really respect you (same as have feelings for you, etc.) after meeting you only once? Do you really-really respect him at that stage?
I don't respect people automatically, and can't respect someone I don't know. What I do is express good will until and unless the person deserves otherwise.
Also, I do not believe it's any different in Russia at this point. Probably wasn't even back when I was still there.
