Unions are pain on the *ss for any business and industry, and in general, the left as a whole are detrimental for any social system. The strong French Unions are the main reason that this country, despite some natural advantages, trails its neighbors.
American crisis is just a part of Global crisis, and we have all chances to suffer less than our foreign friends/competitor. But if we are stupid enough to choose Demunists – we have all chances that it will be longer than at any other country here – as was the case during the Great Depression. Socialist Roosevelt managed to follow the most irrational and painful path. The US recovered way longer than anybody on earth as a result.
