Part 2
While former staffers say Ron Paul is not a racist, he is anti Jewish. He does not like Israel and would do nothing to help Israel. While America should put America’s interests first, there are many American interests that are satisfied by helping Israel.
The most important question for Republicans is why is Ron Paul not specifically denouncing and separating himself from any of these racist and anti-Semitic groups?
The nice thing about being a Republican and being a conservative is that we actually have principles we believe in. If you are a Republican, it means you stand for certain things and even more importantly you stand against certain things. One of the things we Republicans and we conservatives stand against is racism and anti-Semitism.
Ron Paul certainly understands he cannot embrace those groups, but his failure to definitively condemn them and make certain his campaign is separate from them speaks volumes.
Sir Thomas More is alleged to have said, “Qui tacet consentire.” Silence gives consent.
Ron Paul’s silence is given consent to those groups to be a part of his campaign.
