I don't see why naturalized citizens feel they should have to be more patriotic than those who just happened to be born here?
Lina, I think reading what everyone wrote it is pretty obvious that don't feel that we should be more patriotic, we just are.
I think it comes ( at least for me) from two sources:
1) gratitude to the country that welcomes you as one of their own and allows you to become a full citizen with full rights
2) the sheer effort of becoming a citizen -- applications, tests, oaths, etc. makes us appreciate what we got a lot more than those that were simply born into it
