JPMorgan execs Charles E. LeCroy and Douglas W. MacFaddin bribed localfirms with ties to the Jefferson County Commission in 2002-03 to ensurethat JPMorgan would be selected as the county's bond underwriter andswaps provider.
In taped conversations, the men acknowledgedthe payments were "scam transactions" and "payoffs" that were "theprice of doing business," according to the SEC complaint.
