Easily, my precious blond: you highlight the intended part of the text, then click on the triangle "arrow" next to the colored button "B" (background) and click the necessary color.
BTW, I disagree with blond-bashing - I've met a lot of smart beauties. Especially my little niece - her birthday was yesterday.
