did anyone here actually READ the proposal?
or did you just read one-sided propaganda about the proposal?
If you actually read it, you will find out that:
1- if you have your insurance, you will keep it, no ifs or buts about it.
2- introduced public option will compete with already existing options and is not going to be mandatory and will be offered as choice for those who don't have insurance or want to be insured on their own, not through employer.
3- there is not going to be a directed doctor - the choice is yours.
( in fact, AMA that was opposing the proposal, just endorsed it on those grounds 2 days ago)
4-the only segment that going to be taxed at the additional 1% are individuals with over $250K and families with over $380K. An extra 1% at those incomes is OK , I don't mind it at all.
Get the facts, not the propaganda.
