Mike, I know I am risking to sound naive here, but my philosophy of hearth care is based on premise this is one area which should not be based on profit. And I am not saying it should be subsidized, it should be "breaking even". I deal with this reality every day and learned very well how screwed up insurance payment system is.
And I also know how private docs bill and how they play the system. Thank goodness, I am able to avoid doing this since i work for the teaching hospital - and I would never be willing or able to do this by my nature anyways.
So, the point is, those who play insurance companies now, will either continue playing them the same or they will learn how to play another system.
