"it easier for people to get coverage"
I would absolutely LOVE it if it was easier and cheaper for people to get coverage. In the meanwhile, many insurers offer contracts that are just insulting. Example: One of the local large employers offers it's employees the only option, where about $600 taken out paychek per month for family of 4, and then insurance only kicks in after meeting $5000 deductible at 80/20. Mailorder drug coverage is in effect also after this deductible is met. Concerta (ADHD) medication will still cost them $387 for 3month ( just checked it today). Now, please,somebody, tell me if those rates are reasonable or is this a total rip-off?.
So, this family, whose example I am using, changed their children coverage to CHIPS ( they still have to pay, but a lot less). Wouldn't be nice to have an adult option available, similar to CHIPS?
