nobody is saying that doctors shouldn't be well compensated for their years of training... but the fees for their services shouldn't be so exorbitant as to preclude access to vital medical care.

Additionally, "the French government pays two-thirds of the social security tax for most French physicians—a tax that's typically 40% of income."
