Igor. There are few issues here. One is love and respect for YOUR country. First should come first.
Second is team play. I am not saying that Sergey said something wrong, but even if he would, you should stand by your countryman and member of your team when it comes to INTERNATIONAL debate. Russians (living in Russia) are FAR more uniform in their views (partially because of uniform media coverage, zombie style TV and etc). But look how do they respond on this or other forums - 90% or so are acting as one team. And it is not a paid gig.
Third. Love or hate for Russia/Communist party and etc.
