If you wish to become an airline pilot, you'll need tohave obtained your CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence), something that willalso take dedication, time and quite a considerable investment of money- anywhere between ?35,000 - ?50,000. It used to be that airlinecompanies would fully sponsor a pilot's training, however unfortunatelythis is no longer the case. There are some sponsorships programmesavailable to cover the cost of qualifying for a CPL, but these may beslightly biased towards younger candidates.
