about cutting money to state universities - my suggestion is you look at the numbers yourself...liberals have a tendecy to call it "cuts" if there is no significant increases...and one more point - I understand that some people's livelihoods depend on government money, but what do you suggest to do if there is no money in the budget?

i believe our 2 party system is effectively broken.
most thinking people I know dislike a large part of the platform of either party and at the same time they know voting for anyone else is a though-away vote.
this is why i never voted in my life .

I like the two pary system...I think our political system has less problems than countries with many parties...I think the answer to many problesms we have today is the term limits - carreer politicians are killing our countries - but it will require a Constitutional amendment by the same people it wowuld limit power of...so very hard to achieve...

Yes, my friend is in this group, you might remember making comments about having too many 41 y.o. in this group, that was about his classmate. Also, his colleague is from Odessa, should I use "large port city in the south of Ukraine" next time? - Michigan led the neighbouring Canada to bring the trash and dump it on our land
- Michigan promotes the casino gambling because they hooked the School budget to the taxes on gambling

And this is bad for Michigan budget why? Trash is business is as any other business -- Canadians pay for it, companies that run dump yards profit form it. Same with gambling. Casinos are companies -- what's wrong with that?

She does bow too much to the Unions, that is indeed true. She is a Democrat and they helped her to get elected. Business as usual.
