I have no idea, it came as a normal e-mail, and this what happen when i copied it. Weird. Second time I tried to change the size and it still didn't help. All those conspiracies....:-D.
But we get updates every week, and all states and counties medical societies update their docs on all the lobbying and legislative activity. So a lot of what circulates on the net is really innacturate and just spins on facts that might or might not have to do with the reality of what is going on. From all I am getting from our medical society ( which is traditionally is very conservatively leaning) is they are not alarmed, and actually support most of the initiatives , not without critique, of course. And they have very "zubastuye" docs and lawyers working for them.

I can not support ANY program that has the Federal Government playing a dominant role in providing health care to its citizens. It is simply not what Federal Government is for.

I would like to keep mine, too.
However, I deal with all kinds of insurances every day and the ones that give me the least headaches and least restrictive and least demeaning to physicians, are - surprise!- not HMO's .
Those are CHIPS, FHP, M-CAid ( strait , not idiotic "options" plans that run through HMO's and pay me peanuts). Of course, i am in a position where I do not directly negotiate rates....
If only people knew how really horrible HMO's are, they might change their minds. We have friends - very right wing conservatives who last year had to deal with real serious life threatening medical issue - they became supporters of single- payer plan (although this is not what we are going to get).

I like how people make all kinds of conclusions based on the personalexperiences. Fate of the country of 300 mil people should be decidedby some personal experience which may or may not be accurate. It's justhard to believe that people who are truly right-wing would supportanything provided by the government, unless they are right-wing insomeone'e definition only.
Of course, our healthcare has problems, but what the currentadministration wants to do is not the right solution. It will createadditional problems (poor quality, higher taxes, affecting economy,less choice) without addressing the current problems that we have. Noone heard them talking about fixing our legal system, have you?

On topof regular people paying their share and for healthcare forthose who didn't care to get for themselves, they will still be payingthe trial lawyers for sueing healthcare professionals. Have you noticedhow Obama never attacked lawyers, just the doctors "who make decisionsbased on reimbursements"?(sr)

And what qualifications any of us here have to know exactly what solutions are going to be the right solutions, moreover, to be so sure about it?
Hope most realize this stuff is very complex.
I don't know for sure, most people who are drafting those bills don't know for sure, doctors don't know for sure, lawyers..... should I continue?
The only people who think they know for sure really do not understand the complexity of healthcare delivery systems.
