"international and geopolitical conditions change - and you NEED TO TAKE IT ALL IN CONSIDERATION." - Agreed. However, that does not and should not mean that we trounce or violate our Constitution to achieve necessary results.
"That's why the Constitution is amended so many times - IT WAS NOT PERFECT THE FIRST TIME AROUND." - Agreed, but only partially. It is difficult to define "so many times" unless you do so in the context of time and in comparison with other, similar documents. During the same period of time (230+ years) most of the countries not only have amended their constitutions multiple times - they have REWRITTEN them multiple times.
And most of those "editions" were in fact based on the original AMERICAN CONSTITUTION, I might add.
So 27 amendments in total (first 10 a.k.a. The Bill of Rights, which was adopted at the very beginning) can not in all honesty be considered as "amended so many times".
