Sergey, I wanted to say it before, in the different group. Decided to leave it alone. But it's time.
In order to have a normal, decent conversation it would be beneficial to consider your opponents to be a thought processing individuals, not mindless drones. For that reason, bunching people together by saying "you all" could be retired.
I consider almost anyone of my opponents from another side of the fence to be individual thinkers, and would appreciate to be considered one. When i have heard people saying that Bush is an idiot, I always thought that they were expressing their own conclusion, not Jon Stewart's.
I don't like president Obama as a president for my own reasons. I could, and will, list them one day. He is not a caricature monster, he is just a very confused, inexperienced, harmful president. Хотя "Умывальников начальник и мочалок командир" suits him too.

Oleg, you're thoroughly confused. Sorry if you find this word offensive. But you cannot preach "peace" here and attack me personally next door. But to your points:

1) My "you all" referred to several sequential instances or variations of "Obama doesn't get IT" statement, and not to express my condemnation of people with your radical-right point of view. Read posts more thoroughly next time please. If you don't understand something (which very well might be due to lack of my own eloquence) - please ask before issuing your condemnations. Otherwise, you can soon start reacting just like that column-propping guy.
2) I didn't call Bush an idiot (although I do think so indeed). You confused me for yourself or one of other of my opponents next door. I would also appreciate the courtesy of turning down your own (maybe not your personal) rhetoric toward our President. He is as much a person as he is the Office. So, I'm not taking it as respectful to me as a patriot. Besides, offensive rhetoric in general tends to degenerate tone of any conversation. And now it would be helpful to stop, and to check out earlier posts.
3) You misunderstood my reference to Khazanov's hokhmah. Actually it was the answer to the several posts here, to the torn from the context phrase of Savannah Guthrie, and to my own first comment. Just to make sure you understand it now - I recommended to go to the source, and to view, to listen to or read it in full. Then, perhaps, you will not feel as jolly (or as angry) where fun was not intended. Just like with the original piece from Chukovsky...

Sergei, the reason I posted the question alone, without the answer is because of its substance. The answer was, expectedly so, the usual long rant. What is interesting about that question is that the reporter, Savannah Guthrie, is such strong Obama's supporter, that she was "reportedly" suicidal when Obama's rating plunged back in summer. However,

And yet another uber-liberal reporter, this time Ben Feller, AP's White House Correspondent, ask Mr. Obama the following question:
"Are you willing to concede at all that what happened last night was not just an expression of frustration about the economy, but a fundamental rejection of your agenda?"
Again, the answer was long and expected. No revelations there. Bear in mind, that's the same Ben Feller of AP who tried to sugar-coat Obama's voting record at US Senate. The rats are jumping ship..

Alex, I don't need the Obama's answer - I heard it myself and in full. So, I'm not insisting on anything. There is no "substance" in the question alone: it was a question, not a statement. To see the "substance" you need both. So your comment being limited to the question only was intended to skew that substance. Now, you call the Obama's answer a "long rant", and I call it a substantive and thorough and reflective response to a sharp and unbiased question. So, if you want to be honest with yourself, you need to hear the full story, even if you don't like it. Even more so if you tell the story to others.
Also, I'm not sure where you got the "suicidal" thing, and I'm not sure about Guthrie's political tastes. But to me the Guthrie's question signifies reliability of the MS NBC as a source of information, that I certainly cannot say about my pitiful experience with the "Fair & Balanced". They are truly masters of half-truths!

No, it's not you Alex. As long as you keep your cool and stay civilized with your arguments I will gladly speak with you and call you Alex. Otherwise any conversation will not have any value to me, just like was the case with that guy.

how do you know what he gets and doesn't get? furthermore, would you say that he gets "IT" less than his predecessors did? if so, can you provide concrete examples that would demonstrate them getting "IT"? finally, don't teenagers also frequently tell their parents that they don't get "IT", when in fact, they're the ones who don't understand?
