American men who have had good access to prostate-cancer screening maywonder why Canadian men are three times less likely to get the PSAantigen test. For that matter, everyone may ask why Americans are sixtimes more likely to have important colonoscopy testing than ournorthern neighbors.
Our system isn’t perfect, but if we want to fix it, let’s fix the real problems instead of breaking what works.

And BTW, the mammography screening for women in all European countries and Canada starts at age 50, in USA at 40.

Anecdotal evidence supports the list too. I have several friends who are Canadian citizens that work here. And they and their families usually come to the States for important testing or serirous procedures rather than try and get it for free in Canada because the wait is so long for certain treatments and the resources are limited for some tests. This explains the lower survival rates for cancer patients etc
