this is a rating for all his positions, I was taking about his social positions (because the argument was made that Palin was chosen to energize the religious base)- abortions, gay marriage...he has not been a solid conservative on many issues since 2000 (probably mad at his party for choosing Bush over him in 2000), that's why his ratings slipped...and I am sure Bush doesn't get 100% ratings either - Bush has not been very conservstive on many things...

Mike, оставим...ты сам не читаешь, что я пишу...ты сказал, что Palin was picked because of her religious positions, all I said that she had very similiar SOCIAL postions as McCain and she was picked because of her good and solid record on ALL issues - you misread or misunderstand what I want to say - religious conservatives don't just look at social postions, they also look at other postions, because they are conservatives on other issues...
Again, I am just stating my opinion and how I see it form the conservsative side, and you don't have to agree with me...

all I was saying it was NOT relevant...even to religious conservstives...it's not WHY they favored Palin over McCain - it's because of her overrall record and loyalty to the principles...

What do you think ACU includes in its ratings? If you exclude his defense voting record and votes on budget - the rest (social) is completely abysmal.

Someone like Obama gets an 8, McCain gets life-time 83! - pretty conservative to me...

yeah, it's exactly the point I was making that McCain has NOT been a solid conservative (from the very conservative point of view)but still is pretty conservative, AND it doesn't reflect his stance on social issues! (he is still pro-life and pro-traditional marriage),and Palin was favored by other conservatives not necessarily because of social issues, but because she was more to the right on issues such as energy, for example as ANWAR...
the argument about evolution is the argument that liberal media makes to paint her as extreme and it's not relevant to her record or her being picked as VP...
and what is the point you are trying to make?

i don't see much benefit in drilling anywhere actually.. we have a monster oversupply of oil..

remember in 2008, when they only started talking about drilling off shore, the oil prices went down right away...
