Нет, люди с низкими доходами действительно платят негативные налоги, т.е. получают деньги от правительства. А вот люди с высокими налогами эти выплаты как раз и финансируют. Меньше 5% населения платят половину всех налогов.

Are you nuts?! The average person pays negative percentage. I am merely in the top 10%, not even the top 5%. But I pay more than 40% of my income in various taxes, and since I am about to get married, I have warned my bride that is she works, the government will get more money than she will! Yes, that's right, her combined tax rate will be over 50%, starting with the very first dollar she earns. At least I don't have to pay Social Security taxes on any extra income.

and I'm sure any one of them would be more than happy to switch places with you and the rest of the 10%. because what you seem to be forgetting is that along with that tax bill, comes an equally hefty paycheck... and believe you me, there are plenty of people out there who are ready, willing, and able to take over your burden. so the next time you start complaining about all those taxes you have to pay, just remember there are those out there who work twice as hard and don't even make half as much. and if the tax load should ever become unbearable, don't feel like you have to be a martyr, just step aside - no one is irreplaceable.

And yes, I am irreplaceable in a sense - most people could not trade places with me. To begin with, one of the qualifications for my job is a PhD in Physics or Math...

And BTW my paycheck has nothing to do with the tax bill - it is not derived from the government in any way. In fact I may well become unemployed because of Obamacare. Taxes are destroying jobs too.
