no, it doesn't...but..I guarantee you - YOU personally will be paying for it sooner than you think..(ch) me??..I will just never go back working full-time..so it works for me..;-)
if you think it will trully reduce the deficit or be beficit-neutral, if you think they will cut Medicare (it will be politiicsal suicide for them), do other things....hm, hm...than maybe it's not just behavoiral problems, but also cognitive..(sr)

can't recommend South Florida..там еще скорее, чем где ты..(tr)

although CA taxes are insane, the combination of beach, weather, things to do, etc is hard to beat

a small comment on tax increase: a large portion of that is designated to pay for medical training, right now medical training (ie residencies and fellowships) are largely funded by M-Caid and M-Care money and each trainee costs about $100k/yr ( don't quote me on this, those might be old numbers). But, as a really large part of physician population is aging out, country is going to lose about 10 -15 thousand docs per year for the next 15 or so years. They opened more positions in med schools domesticaly and more residency spots for FMG's to replace this loss.... It is actually a very urgently needed measure, since many of these docs are family practitioners in the boonies and those boonies are going to suffer badly... so this tax partly is intended to buffer this.
There is also a provision in the Bill for med schools loan repayment for primary care and pediatric subspecialists - professions in dire straits....

I think I know the way to solve this problem... Import doctors from overseas, it will be hundreds times cheaper then training them here in the US.

Julia, i believe there is going to be a shortage across the board, not just in primary care. I know general surgery is f.cked.. especially the underserved areas, the only people they get are those without the greencard.
