that is why he started his own businesses as he have seen it all with
his own
eyes how many people being turned down for health care (killed) just
because they had preexisting conditions 10 years before they got their
insurance.

Julia, no one is arguing that the system has a ton of problems, but they cannot be fixed because the price of fixing is too high. It's not fair, I know, that's life. Live with it. But it is sad to see that anyone who immigrated from USSR would say something like that, of all the immigrant groups in this country, we should be the last one to say it.

Roman, how many employees do you have? it is indeed VERY LOW $1100 per
month for a company... especially when they don't pay anything.

The reasoning kind of “we do not pay for the police – why should we pay fro drugs and health care?" is just laughable.
The cost of the police services is pretty stable – usually so nobody needs massive private investment in this institution.
Cost of R &D and new equipment in pharmacy and medical industry by their nature (every time you solve more and more complicated problems). For example, you spend billions and years for the new generation drug- and the result is negative. Then you create another one – and it turns to be detrimental due to side effects in several years (like vioxx) - and you have to pay billions punitive damage. Only charging big, money you can assure the progress. The same with new healing techniques. They replace MRI complexes every two years – the government health care even don’t have old ones in proper numbers …

I doubt it, Julia, because you repeat after him so many wrong things. BTW, I also worked in insurance company - not very long though. If you husband knew something beyond his state, let's say, he would know that Europe, England particularly - very consistently copies the American experience in health care!!! Tell him to wake up! With all reservations, this system is much better overall.

Mihail, WAKE the hell UP, we are #38 on the worlds map with our health system! where are you getting your ideas of us being Best of the Best at it?

Julia, these "places" depend on the "methodics" of calculation rather than on anything objective. Have you ever paricipated in creating any ratings? I did. And bet I can offer presentable systems where the US will be either #1 or #100.
BTW, one of our professors told me how the Biz. Schools ratings were calculated. The humanitarian leftist females, about 35 y.o., never stayed close to business... They awarded for affirmative actions, for example. My college was #51, I believe. After they were dealt with, we became #26 ...
