if it was that simple - supply and demand - everyone would go to medical school to become a plastic surgeon or such..eventhough most of the people don't go there for money (ch) , their supply doesn't grand them those highly lucrative specialties..in those very sought-after programs, the decisive factor is not just supply or demand, or even market price, it's something intangible that even IVY league schools can't guarantee (ch) ..the price of admission to the field of medicine is not just demand and supply, not just years of training, not just cost of education, it's something what it takes to be a doctor or lack of thereof..
