Specifically i am for mandatory health insurance for example.
I am against many provisions of the bill as well.

Mayo Clinic Gives Up on Medicare

As Big Government goes in for the kill on the healthcare industry, here's how things have been working out for the part of it that has already been nationalized:
"TheMayo Clinic, praised by President Barack Obama as anational model forefficient health care, will stop accepting Medicarepatients as of[January 1] at one of its primary-care clinics inArizona, saying theU.S.government pays too little. … Obama in June cited thenonprofit Rochester,Minnesota-based Mayo Clinic and the ClevelandClinic in Ohio for offering "the highest quality care at costs well below the national norm." Mayo's move to drop Medicare patients may be copied by family doctors, some of whom have stopped accepting new patients from the program, said Lori Heim, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, in a telephone interview...

"Many physicians have said, 'I simply cannot afford to keep taking care of Medicare patients,'" said Heim, a family doctorwho practices in Laurinburg, North Carolina. "If you truly know yourbusiness costs and you are losing money, it doesn't make sense to domore of it."The Mayo organization had 3,700 staff physicians andscientists and treated 526,000 patients in 2008. It lost $840 millionlast year on Medicare, thegovernment's health program for the disabled and those 65 and older, Mayo spokeswoman Lynn Closway said.

I love this part: so many "caring" people are outraged that tenth of millions of Americans don't have health insurance. So, what do they decide to do? Make them get insurance..как говорится - много мозгов не надо :-D instead of just offering help to those who can't afford it..
then they get rid of pre-existing conditions..now, those who still don't want to get insurance will pay a penalty of $750 instead of $8-10K for coverage and will simply get coverage when they get sick...brilliant!..I wonder if getting rid of the pre-existing conditions WILL actually make MORE people drop coverage, save money and get it when they get sick...

Exactly, why pay 10 thousand dollars every year anticipating that you might get sick when you can just show up when you get sick and buy it then?
So cool! Everybody should do that!
I was trying to pull that trick on my car insurance, but they did not go for it for some strange reason...:-(

Economist Was Under Contract with HHS While Touting Health Reform Bill

MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, one of the leading academic defenders of health care reform, is taking heat for failing to disclose consistently that he was under contract with the Department of Health and Human Services while he was touting the Democrats' health proposals the media.
Gruber, according to federal government documents, is under a $297,600 contract until next month to provide "technical assistance" in evaluating health care reform proposals. He was under a $95,000 HHS contract before that.
