Роберт - у все политиков громкие слова. как я написала раньше, я не голосовала за Обаму. даже не из за него лично, а из за людей вокруг него - конкретно - Байдена. *Но раз уж он стал Президентом, собираюсь поддерживать, или как минимум, давать шанс его начинаниям. Как он будет что то делать - я не могу вам ответить достаточно коротко. я не эксперт в экономике, а даю себе в этом отчет. Все что я умею, и хорошо делаю, это собираю информацию и делаю выводы. *:-D

I am not too happy with us sucking up to Saudies either, so I jsut want make it clear. Nor am I against diplomacy. But diplomacy can only achieve results from the position of strength. Instead Obama gives a pathetic interview to Al Arabiya where he practically bags Ahmadinejad to please, pretty please don't be so mad at us. What does the guy do in response? He tells us he'll like us better, but only if we appologize. This is absene. That "anomaly" that you mentioned, Harry Truman once said: "Talk softly and carry a big stick". I fully concur.

All financial institutions had a choice. the problem is that people see ($) ($) in their eyes, instead of thinking. if everyone stuck to their guns and kept lending policies as they were for a number of years - we would not have the real estate disaster as we have right now. if anything, btw, 9/11 helped our economy with extra spending.

Give me one example where under Bush administration free speech was resricted for such Bush-hating publications as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, NPR Radio, CNN, BBC and dozen others? On the other hand the "Fairness Doctrine" - btw, there is nothing "fair" about it, would restrict predominantly conservative "Talk Radio". If this is not government sponsored limit on political speech, I don't know what is.
