it's 9.4%now...what a job after spending $800 billions!!!

Svetlana, they only spent 40bln or so, they allocated 800bln.
However the real reason unemployment rate dropped is inside the report:

The civilian labor force participation rate declined by 0.2 percentage point in July to 65.5 percent.
Among the marginally attached, there were 796,000 discouraged workers in July, up by 335,000 over
the past 12 months. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.) Discouraged workers are persons not currently
looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them. The other 1.5 million persons
marginally attached to the labor force in July had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding
the survey for reasons such as school attendance or family responsibilities.
So, basically a bunch of people just gave up looking for work.

Talking is not really preventing anything..
If some of these laws pass - it will be detrimental to some businesses. ( like to mine probably ).
One thing he does well - generating at least come confidence ( real or not ) in some people.. and that drives up spendings and the economy.
When he took over office he was the "gloom and doom" Obama and now he's "we will all live happily ever after if you just do what i say" Obama..
The fundamentals of this economy are still horrific..

But the Consumer Confidence is still down (as of July)...maybe it will go up again after today's news...
but media is surely helping him (or the economy) by still staying somewhat positive...has it been a republican president the media would've sounded much differently...
