well, we already established thast some in your profession make as much as they do, due to government regulations. and we discussed European doctors who while are no less educated than you are, earn a fraction of what you do. if you're not happy with the tax system in this country then you are free to find one that will alow you to keep everything that you "earn".

Why do they have to donate their money to "worthwhile causes"? What are those causes?

why do you believe that investing into the education and health care of this country (our future) is any less worthwhile? many of the businesses that one opens would probably require and could definitely benefit from educated labor who are hopefully in relatively good health.
and I don't know about you, but I for one would not want to live in a country with a great devide between the rich and the poor. how does living among poor, uneducated sickly people contribute to your quality of life?
